The GGF News 2/1/2013

We’ve made Christianity mostly about us giving to God.  Maybe we’ve got this all  upside down.  It seems that the Biblical message is mostly about God giving to us!  Isn’t that the central message of Grace – Gift?  God giving to us Himself, His Love and His Help.  How might your view be upside down?  Find some time to reflect on this- and join us Sunday at 10:45.

If you would like to discuss any of these thoughts further- I’d love to get together with you.

Come Join us for a Golden Gate Homecoming.  Feb 10th. 10:45 am at Golden Gate Fellowship-66 Geneva in SF.  So far we know that Pastors Barry, Mike and Jeff will be joining us.
Lunch will be provided for a small donation- with lots of time to reconnect with Golden Gate Friends.  Everyone is Welcome- Spread the word!

UPDATE ON SEARWAY FAMILY:  We’ve been praying for our friend, Brent Searway, director of Rancho Agua Viva, for his battle against his brain tumor.  Please continue to pray for Brent & Allyson, and their college-aged kids, Justin and Emily.  Brent and Allyson will be staying in the area for 3 months for his radiation and chemotherapy.  Julie Morrison will set up an online calendar through “Lots a Helping Hands” for volunteers to help cover some of their needs.  Brent and Allyson have some good housing options in SF for the first few weeks and Walnut Creek after, but it would be good to have options close by after those first few weeks.  If you would like to help with lodging, grocery shopping, providing a meal, laundry, etc . . . please email Julie at julcatdog@yahoo.com or call her at 415-317-7152
