The GGF News 11/9/2012

The key to understanding the Scriptures is learning to recognize the great themes which appear again and again, in book after book, from the Old Testament to the New.  This Sunday we will look at the Theme that Moses discovered at the Burning Bush.  This same theme is essential for you and me today!  Check out Exodus 3.12 – and join us this Sunday.

If you would like to discuss any of these thoughts further- I would love to get together with you.

Year End Giving- Please remember GGF as you consider your End of the Year Giving.

GGF Giving.
We may be at our lowest balance ever in our entire six years at GGF.  We are deeply honored by everyone’s support of GGF, and would ask that you consider increasing your support.  Also, join us in prayer and giving thanks for God’s blessings and provision for GGF- and for all of us.

Ensenada Christmas Boxes!
Start now to prepare for our shoe boxes to Mexico.  We need everyone’s help- office groups, small groups, families, and friends of GGF.  Don’t miss out on the blessing.  For many children these Shoe Boxes will be the only Christmas gifts they receive.   Check out the attached info sheets and have fun!

Thanksgiving Journals!
Jason Schatz has challenged us to join him in a journey of gratitude leading up to Thanksgiving.  We are handing out little booklets on Sundays for you to use each day as your reflect on your blessings.  We all want to be more thankful- but sometimes we need just a little help.  There are no rules to this- as there is no wrong way to be more thankful.  On Sundays we will have some time to share how the journals have impacted us.  Please join us as we try to become intentional about this Thanksgiving Season.

GGF  Sermon Podcast!  If you were out of town- or would just like to hear last week’s sermon over- this is for you! Check out this Link and let us know what you think.

Book Club-  Dec. 6th  Thursday 7pm.  This month we choose  “To Kill a Mockingbird”  by Harper Lee.   Why not read a great book and get together with great people.  For more info- contact Kathleen Talbot at

Small Groups-  We would like everyone at GGF to belong to a Small Group. There are several opportunities, and different kinds of Small Groups available.  Please contact me and we’ll find the right Small Group for you!  Don  519-5556
